Would you like to be a part of a revolutionary next generation DRAM research & development dry etch team driving critical modules listed below? The position promises ample opportunities for innovation, collaboration and testing a new dimension within DRAM. Work directly with process integration and other areas such as Wet etch, CVD, Diffusion, Metals, Lithography & CMP. You will work on groundbreaking, best-in-class dry etch chambers and own the process roadmap to meet program and yield goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Developing dry etch processes to meet the physical & electrical requirements of Micron's products.
  • Optimizing dry etch processes to reduce cost, process variability, and improve process capability.
  • Collaborating with process integration and other process development teams to develop innovative new solutions.
  • Conducting root cause and failure mode analysis to understand the limitations of current hardware and driving vendors for solutions.
  • Performing fundamental research to drive innovative solutions for next-generation products.
  • Maintaining a technology development pilot manufacturing line.
  • Support process transfer to production facilities (some domestic and/or international travel may be required).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to resolve complex issues through root-cause or model-based problem solving.
  • Working knowledge in statistics, preferably in statistical process control.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal direction, and a focus on meeting commitments.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Academic or basic knowledge of one of the following: thermodynamics, transport phenomena, dry etch processing, kinetic theory, or basic plasma physics.
  • Data science basics / Python coding or programming or scripting is desirable.
  • Education:

    BS + 2 years of relevant semiconductor experience (required)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Able to thrive in a research and development environment.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong digital literacy, including MS Office.
  • MS / PhD in a related field specific to semiconductor R&D (preferred)
