Role Overview
We are seeking a Process Mechanical Superintendent to support the construction of a large‑scale semiconductor manufacturing facility. This individual will serve as the field leader and owner of dry mechanical systems from design coordination through commissioning and turnover. The Superintendent will work directly with subcontractors, designers, construction managers, and client stakeholders to safely deliver complex mechanical systems while driving schedule, quality, and execution.
Responsibilities- Own the execution of dry mechanical systems from design through turnover and commissioning readiness.
- Lead field coordination activities with mechanical subcontractors, general foremen, and trade partners.
- Drive safe work planning and ensure compliance with project safety requirements and high‑risk work procedures.
- Coordinate system installation activities, resolve clashes, remove roadblocks, and maintain construction sequencing.
- Review drawings, specifications, and design documents to ensure constructability and system performance.
- Partner with engineering teams and contractors to resolve field issues and support design solutions.
- Monitor contractor progress and develop recovery plans when schedule commitments are at risk.
- Participate in schedule development, look‑ahead planning, and progress tracking utilizing Primavera P6.
- Lead quality walks, punch list activities, leak testing, and turnover readiness efforts.
- Support procurement, buyout, and construction planning activities as required.
- 8+ years of construction experience supporting complex mechanical systems.
- Experience as a Mechanical Superintendent, Mechanical Construction Manager, MEP Superintendent, or Mechanical Systems Lead.
- Strong understanding of HVAC and process mechanical utility systems, including Air Handling Units, Make‑Up Air Units, Exhaust systems, Fans and duct systems, Scrubbers and abatement systems, Cooling coils and ventilation systems, Process Chiller Water Systems, OFA / CDA compressors, Process Vacuum Systems, Waste Systems.
- Experience supporting semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, mission‑critical, pharmaceutical, or industrial facilities preferred.
- Proficiency reading construction drawings, specifications, P&IDs, and coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces.
- Experience leading subcontractors and driving safety, quality, and schedule performance.
- Primavera P6 experience preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.
