Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Bridge Engineer to join our growing bridge group in Boise, Idaho. This role offers the opportunity for professionals to work on impactful infrastructure projects across Idaho, including work for public agencies such as ITD, local agencies, and municipalities. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients, contributing to projects that positively impact communities throughout the state.

In this position, you will:

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and develop project management capabilities, such as monitoring budgets and schedules, interacting with clients, and leading junior engineers.
  • Work on interesting and challenging projects, from planning through design and construction.
  • Lead technical and project discussions with the design team.
  • Take responsibility for the quality control/assurance of project deliverables.
  • Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and reports for new construction and/or evaluation of existing structures.
  • Perform structural design and analysis for bridges and associated structures utilizing structural software, finite element software, and/or spreadsheets.
  • Conduct site visits to understand project conditions and requirements.
  • Help build our Idaho business.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering;
    Master's degree preferred.
  • At least five years of post-education experience in bridge design and project management, ideally with exposure to infrastructure projects in Idaho.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Idaho required.
  • Advanced proficiency in structural analysis and design software, including SAP
    2000, CSI Bridge, and PG Super.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer, reviewing plans, or conducting site visits.
  • Capacity to move around project sites, climb ladders, and navigate uneven terrain.
  • Occasionally lifting up to 15 pounds of equipment or materials.
