Position: Facilities Instrumentation Engineer --Semiconductor  : 202126

Primarily remote — ~50% onsite first month, then 1 week onsite per month thereafter.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. — no visa sponsorship available.

We're looking for a Facilities Instrumentation Engineering Owner's Representative to play a key role in delivering cutting‑edge semiconductor manufacturing projects in Boise, 'll act as the technical owner and advocate for Instrumentation and Controls scope during the Tool Installation phase — providing engineering oversight for fire alarm, chemical controls, toxic gas monitoring (TGM) systems, and associated PLCs — in one of the most advanced industrial facilities in the world.

Pay: $50.48- $62.50 per hour DOE

What you'll do
  • Provide engineering and design oversight during installation of semiconductor manufacturing tools
  • Review and influence instrumentation and controls designs related to factory control systems, fire alarms, chemical controls, and TGM systems
  • Develop and review technical specifications for tool installation
  • Review vendor submittals and design deliverables to ensure compliance with requirements and applicable codes
  • Collaborate with facilities, construction, vendors, and internal project teams to ensure successful execution
What you need
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or associated degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering design of industrial control systems
  • Strong knowledge of IFC, IMC, UL, and IEEE standards
  • Experience selecting and specifying electrical and controls equipment and systems
  • Proven ability to review vendor submittals against contractual and technical requirements
  • Must pass background check and drug screening
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. — no sponsorship available
Nice to have
  • EIT certification or PE license
  • 2+ years of experience with semiconductor manufacturing tools (design, installation, or cleanroom use)
  • Field experience working directly with subcontractors and construction personnel
  • Familiarity with BIM/CAD tools such as Revit or AutoCAD
