Controls Engineer (PLC / Instrumentation)
Seeking a Controls Engineer with Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) experience to support high-tech semiconductor facility projects. This role focuses on tool installation, PLC systems, and facility control systems within a fast-paced advanced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Provide engineering oversight during installation of semiconductor manufacturing equipment
- Review and support PLC, instrumentation, and control system designs
- Work with systems including fire alarm systems, chemical control systems, and Toxic Gas Monitoring (TGM) systems
- Develop and review technical specifications and design documents
- Review vendor submittals for compliance with project requirements and codes
- Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors
- Support final system integration and installation activities
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (ABET preferred)
- 5+ years of experience with industrial control systems / PLCs
- Experience with instrumentation, controls, and system integration
- Knowledge of IFC (International Fire Code), IMC (International Mechanical Code), UL and IEEE standards
- Experience reviewing technical designs and vendor documentation
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- EIT or PE license
- Experience in semiconductor or cleanroom environments
- Field experience working with construction teams or subcontractors
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit
- Experience with facility systems, process controls, or TGM systems
