Staff Engineer, Node Development PE

Job Overview

As a High Volume production (HVM) Node Development Product Engineer, you will be responsible for transferring and introducing the DRAM node from TD to ID1 fab, including yield ramp, cost reduction, and quality improvement techniques to production/manufacturing level. You will collaborate and coordinate with TD, Central team, TSE, Media Health, quality team, and design team to implement optimal manufacturing strategies for the ID1 site.

Responsibilities
  • Enable new process node startup, qualification, yield, and ramp. Provide direction to development teams using thorough knowledge for process integration.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering groups—Design, Technology Development, Design for Test, and Quality teams—to understand yield issues and priorities.
  • Support design verification and validation using CAD tools and simulations.
  • Perform electrical failure analysis and yield improvement using both data and bench testing analysis.
  • Identify design marginalities and recommend design solutions for circuit-related problems.
  • Apply state-of-art in‑house engineering equipment to support product characterization and electrical failure analysis.
  • Identify causes of low yield through systematic analysis.
  • Apply statistical tools for detailed data analysis on product to drive yield improvement projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with DRAM architecture, operation, testing, design and process.
  • Familiarity with CMOS performance.
  • Good organizational skills, able to make decisions in complex situations.
