Job SummaryMicron is seeking motivated Facilities Water Services Technicians to support wafer manufacturing by operating, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting ultrapure water and industrial waste treatment systems. In this role, you will work closely with Operations, Engineering, EHS, and Maintenance teams to ensure water systems run safely, reliably, and efficiently in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
Technicians are responsible for operating water treatment equipment, monitoring system performance, identifying abnormal conditions, and troubleshooting equipment or process issues. Success in this role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to follow established operating procedures.
Ideal candidates are comfortable using control systems, process monitoring tools, laboratory data, and computerized maintenance systems. They can accurately document system performance, communicate equipment status, and support routine, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.

Responsibilities- Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrapure water and industrial waste treatment systems.
- Follow standard operating procedures for water treatment processes, chemical systems, sampling, laboratory testing, and instrumentation.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, equipment manuals, control screens, alarms, trends, and process data to support troubleshooting and system operation.
- Start, stop, adjust, and monitor equipment such as mixing tanks, heat exchangers, ion exchange systems, filters, and other treatment equipment.
- Operate pumps, chemical delivery systems, valves, flow controls, and related equipment to maintain process specifications.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and assist with root cause analysis and emergency response activities.
- Use computerized maintenance and reporting systems to track work, maintain records, and communicate operational updates.
- Follow all safety, environmental, chemical handling, and PPE requirements while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Support projects and continuous improvement efforts that enhance safety, reliability, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in facilities operations, water or wastewater treatment, industrial maintenance, military service, or a related technical field.
- 1–3+ years of experience operating or maintaining water treatment, chemical processing, or semiconductor facility systems.
- Ability to work a 12‑hour rotating shift schedule (3 days on/4 days off, then 4 days on/3 days off), including rotating between day and night shifts every four months.
- Associate degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Technology, Facilities Management, Operations Management, Business Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience operating or maintaining ultrapure water, wastewater, industrial waste treatment, chemical processing, or semiconductor facility systems.
- Experience and/or interest in developing Agentic AI workflows into current or future processes.
