all .

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.

We are at the center of high-volume semiconductor manufacturing, driving faster learning cycles and earlier detection of process issues that impact yield and quality. Our Realtime Defect Analysis (RDA) team partners closely with global manufacturing sites, process integration, process development, yield engineering, and data science teams to identify defect trends and improve process performance. We use advanced inspection technologies, data-driven insights, and collaborative problem-solving to help ensure manufacturing excellence across Micron's global network.

As an ID1 RDA Process Engineer, you will play an important role in monitoring inline defectivity, identifying process anomalies, and driving defect reduction initiatives. You will learn to leverage advanced inspection and metrology tools, analyze large data sets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to influence high-volume manufacturing processes, transfer new technologies into production, and contribute to yield and quality improvements across global operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze process flows, defect data, and inline signals to identify anomalies, drive corrective actions, and improve defect performance
  • Support experimentation, baseline health monitoring, and defect reduction initiatives across high-volume manufacturing
  • Utilize inspection and metrology tools to detect process issues early and identify sources of variation
  • Partner with global manufacturing, process integration, process development, and yield teams to develop and deploy best-known methods
  • Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, root cause investigations, and process optimization
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to investigate process anomalies, perform root cause analysis, and interpret complex data sets
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and manufacturing processes
  • 5+ years of experience working within Semiconductor Manufacturing, specifically RDA or Metrology
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with data analysis, scripting, programming, or other data science methodologies
  • Experience with semiconductor inspection, metrology, or Realtime Defect Analysis (RDA) processes
  • Proven ability to innovate, drive change, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools, machine learning, automation platforms, or data analytics to improve engineering decisions and productivity
