Job Description
The Sr. Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate execution of testing activities through logical data analysis, evidence-based decision making, and implementation of corrective actions. This role drives KPI achievement, continuous improvement initiatives, and measurable business results while leading engineering resources and supporting Milwaukee's product qualification and validation processes. How You'll Make an Impact Lead and oversee product validation and testing activities.
Monitor and drive department KPIs, including on‑time test initiation, completion, checklist closure, action item completion, and material readiness. Analyze test plans and ensure readiness for upcoming qualification activities. Drive root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions. Manage testing capacity, resources, and project priorities. Review and monitor GRS requests, progress, and tool availability. Ensure proper execution of testing methodologies and adherence to established processes.
Partner cross-functionally to resolve product, process, and testing‑related issues. Support continuous improvement projects through Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Develop, coach, and mentor engineers and future leaders within the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, validation, testing, or product development.
- 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Experience in project management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong background in Root Cause Analysis, KPI management, and resource planning.
- Knowledge of quality systems, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Test and validation processes (manual and performance testing).
- Data analysis using statistical tools and software such as Power BI, Power Query, and Minitab.
- Mechanical, electrical, electronic, and mechatronic engineering principles.
- Solid Works and/or NX.
- GD&T and mechanical assemblies.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- Time and motion analysis.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting methodologies.
