Through innovation, technical expertise, and collaboration, the team helps ensure the performance and reliability of critical infrastructure that powers Micron’s success.

The Lead Coordinator - Facilities HVAC Operations is a key technical and operational leader responsible for leading HVAC-related facility systems, controls, startup activities, and operational improvement initiatives. This role leads OHC, TAB, building, and control room coordination efforts while driving system reliability, operational efficiency, safety, quality, and cost savings. The position serves as a primary point of contact for HVAC system startup, testing, controls integration, and advanced solving across the site.

Responsibilities
  • Lead HVAC operational efficiency initiatives, equipment lifecycle planning, system startups, problem solving efforts, and continuous improvement programs
  • Coordinate with SCADA, Instrumentation Controls Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Construction teams to deploy control strategies, manage alarm systems, and support facility projects
  • Analyze system performance data to improve reliability, optimize operations, mitigate risk, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Lead complex, multi-functional projects by defining scope, managing priorities, tracking actions, and communicating status to team members
  • Champion safety, quality, and operational excellence through audits, hazard identification, lessons learned activities, and risk assessments
Minimum Qualifications
  • Relevant degree, certification, or state licensing in HVAC, Facilities, Mechanical Systems, or a related field
  • Experience supporting HVAC, facilities, building automation, controls, or other critical utility systems
  • Demonstrated ability to fix complex systems, perform root cause analysis, and interpret operational data to drive decisions
  • Proven project leadership, communication, and team member management skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, construction documents, technical specifications, and sequences of operation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with HVAC field experience
  • Experience with PLC controls, SCADA systems, instrumentation, alarm management, and building automation systems
  • Experience with in semiconductor manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, or other critical facilities environments
  • Experience leading cross-functional technical projects focused on system reliability, operational efficiency, and risk reduction
  • Experience and/or interest in adopting Agentic AI into workflows and processes to improve operational efficiency, data analysis, reporting, and decision‑making capabilities
