Cost Engineer - MEP/Dry Mechanical

Insight Global is looking for a Cost Engineer - MEP/Dry Mechanical to support large-scale construction projects within the data center and advanced manufacturing space. This individual will spend the majority of their time reviewing and validating contractor change order requests related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes. On a daily basis, they will utilize Procore to evaluate change orders, verify labor and material costs, review drawings and specifications, analyze schedule impacts, and ensure pricing is aligned with contractual requirements.

They will work closely with project managers, construction teams, subcontractors, and project controls personnel to identify cost risks, resolve pricing discrepancies, and provide recommendations for change order approval. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of MEP construction systems and is comfortable challenging contractor pricing while maintaining project budgets and financial accuracy.
