Field Service Engineer

Canon USA, Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, is seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer I to join our Semiconductors division. This role focuses on providing hands-on technical support and engineering solutions to our semiconductor equipment users across various locations. The ideal candidate will have a profound technical background in semiconductor processes and hardware, a passion for problem-solving, and a drive for continuous improvement in a fast-paced and dynamic industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite installation, maintenance, and repair of Canon semiconductor equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues to ensure operational efficiency.
• Provide training and support to clients on the proper use of equipment.
• Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Manage a schedule that includes regular travel to client sites, often on short notice.
• Uphold the highest level of service standards and comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Recommend product improvements or enhancements to improve customer satisfaction.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting equipment.
• Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and manuals.
• Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical ideas to non-technical staff.
