Working at the forefront of semiconductor innovation, the team collaborates across process integration, metrology, etch, wet process, and manufacturing fields to solve complex technical challenges and drive technology scaling.

Micron internships provide hands-on experience in semiconductor research and development through meaningful technical projects, mentorship from experienced engineers, and exposure to advanced manufacturing technologies. Interns contribute directly to initiatives that support both current and future product development.

As an EUV Lithography Intern, you will work on projects that support the advancement of semiconductor manufacturing technologies and next-generation memory products. You will collaborate with multi-functional engineering teams to design experiments, analyze process data, evaluate lithography performance, and develop innovative solutions related to EUV lithography, photoresist materials, process optimization, and line width roughness improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Design and execute experiments (DOE) to optimize photolithography processes, including EUV lithography, photoresist performance, and patterning improvements.
  • Plan, coordinate, and support semiconductor process experiments in cleanroom environments, including remote manufacturing and development locations.
  • Analyze images, metrology results, and process data using commercial and internal software tools to evaluate critical dimensions, registration performance, and process capability.
  • Communicate technical plans, project status, results, and recommendations through written reports, presentations, and data-driven analyses.
  • Apply Artificial Intelligence and AI-Assisted tools, where appropriate, to support research, data analysis, process optimization, reporting, and engineering productivity.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field relevant to photolithography and semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Must be continuing education through Fall 2027.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills through coursework, research, laboratory work, or technical projects.
  • Ability to work independently, coordinate project activities, and meet established objectives and timelines.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Coursework or research experience in photolithography, semiconductor manufacturing, process development, or related technologies.
  • Experience with experimental design, statistical analysis, data science methods, or technical data interpretation.
  • Programming or scripting experience using Python, MATLAB, JMP, R, or similar tools.
  • Experience Applying AI or Leveraging Artificial Intelligence to support research, engineering analysis, data interpretation, or workflow efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
