We're seeking a passionate and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our Boise, Idaho office. As a key member of our Cities and Places team, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to deliver electrical engineering solutions for commercial, institutional, municipal, and other complex facility projects across the United States and globally.

In this role, you'll contribute to all phases of project delivery, from planning and design through construction support, applying your technical expertise to develop reliable, efficient, and code‑compliant building electrical systems. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, architects, and project managers while growing your technical and professional capabilities within one of the world's leading engineering consultancies.

Here’s what you’ll need

  • Professional Engineering Registration (P.E.)
  • 10-15 years relevant professional experience.
  • Experience designing electrical systems for commercial, institutional, industrial, or municipal facilities.
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes, electrical standards, and industry best practices.
  • Experience with electrical design software and calculation tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.
  • Ability to perform as a lead electrical engineer.
  • Experience working in a multi‑discipline team.
  • Solid working knowledge of the National Electrical Code
Ideally, you’ll also have:
  • Experience using building BIM drafting software (AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit)
  • Practical, hands‑on experience and/or construction support
  • Experience with alternate delivery (Design‑Build, CMAR/CM‑GC and/or EPC projects)
  • Experience in developing project level of efforts for building electrical design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
