Responsibilities
- Lead engineering oversight of 230kV systems including breakers, transformers, protection, grounding, and substation infrastructure.
- Provide technical support for design, installation, commissioning, energization, and operation of utility‑scale electrical equipment.
- Own reliability strategy including condition assessments, predictive maintenance, health monitoring, and life‑cycle planning.
- Perform root cause analysis for electrical events and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain substation documentation, one‑lines, operating procedures, switching plans, and emergency response materials.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- 5+ years of experience with high‑voltage (≥115kV) utility or industrial power systems.
- Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70/70E, IEEE, and NESC standards.
- Experience with power system analysis tools such as SKM, ETAP, Aspen One Liner, or equivalent.
- Experience using AutoCAD and familiarity with 3D design tools such as Revit or Navisworks.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with protective relays, protection schemes, and relay settings development.
- Experience with SCADA interfaces and power monitoring systems.
- Experience with utility coordination, transmission‑level equipment, or substation operations.
- Experience mentoring engineers or technicians in high‑voltage systems and electrical safety.
