Job Overview
The Realtime Defect Analysis (RDA) Technology Development Engineer in the Advanced Packaging Technology Development (APTD) department at Micron Technology will work with a global network of engineers to analyze process anomalies, develop solutions, and accelerate learning cycles in semiconductor manufacturing.
Responsibilities- Review and analyze experimental process flows for defect anomalies and quarantine process tools that are out of control.
- Use inline process signals to drive process improvements.
- Work with new inspection tools and strategies to detect problems earlier and identify their sources.
- Recognize, identify, and raise awareness of process anomalies with a "who needs to know this now?" approach.
- Build and improve techniques and identify new ways to use existing tools for relevant process issues.
- Actively participate in technical meetings, synthesize new opportunities or novel approaches.
- Collaborate with the global network to develop best-known methods and maintain alignment between sites.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or related field plus 2-4 years of semiconductor industry experience.
- At least 1 year of RDA experience identifying and resolving defect integration issues.
- Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication techniques.
- Basic data science/data manipulation skills (scripting, coding, programming).
- Strong understanding of physics, area chemistry, and semiconductor equipment concepts.
- Master’s Degree in EE, CE, MSE, or related field plus experience with metrology or inspection (SEM, X-ray, Laser or Optical Systems).
- Proven technical writing and research experience to assess process adjustment requirements and guide recommendations for improvements and innovations.
