For our client, we are seeking a Energetics Specialist to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space.

This role will focus on technical validation and safety-critical commissioning activities for energetic material processing environments. You will help ensure production equipment, facilities, and systems are qualified, tested, and ready for safe operation in close partnership with government representatives, contractors, and other cross-functional stakeholders. The position requires strong judgement, disciplined process execution, and the ability to drive technical readiness in hazardous manufacturing settings.

Location:

Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $103,500 – $181,100 annually

Responsibilities
  • Lead technical validation of energetic material processing and safety-critical systems
  • Develop and refine commissioning and production qualification plans tailored to hazardous facilities
  • Direct and validate Factory Acceptance Tests and related start-up activities for production equipment
  • Support government acceptance readiness activities and independent readiness assessments
  • Review and validate qualification activities and prepare technical assessments
  • Maintain and drive resolution of issues and corrective actions for energetics systems
  • Mentor junior personnel and contribute to the development of commissioning capabilities
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in defense manufacturing or explosive processing validation with direct process qualification responsibility
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or technical discipline; equivalent experience may be considered
  • Strong working knowledge of DoD explosives safety standards and process safety management protocols
  • Hands-on experience with commissioning, functional, and integrated systems testing in hazardous environments
  • Proven ability to develop and review test plans and procedures critically
  • Excellent technical writing and presentation skills for senior and government audiences
  • Collaborative approach with multi-party teams including contractors and government representatives
