Acquisition Analyst

Nov 6, 2024 – The Acquisition Analyst conducts comprehensive reviews of due diligence documents, including financials, leases, and reports, to identify potential risks and ensure accurate pro forma cash flow assessments. Detailed financial models and transaction summaries are prepared to assist in developing offer terms for executive approval and finalizing Letters of Intent. Monthly reports on recent transactions and updates to tracking tools are compiled to maintain an organized database and support acquisition activities.

• Research and analyze literary properties, evaluate both past performance and future potential across all media.
• Work closely with ILP’s internal and external subject matter experts.
• Produce, manipulate, update, and/or review acquisition-related documents in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Research and track both portfolio-level and overall publishing market data.
• Maintain, track, and update the acquisitions database and transaction pipeline.
• Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to Executive Leadership.
• Manage and maintain the Investment Team’s deal pipeline.
• Assist the Investments Team with underwriting and analyzing prospective investment opportunities with thorough analysis and market research.
• Research markets and legislative changes to interpret potential effects on asset classes.
• Coordinate and communicate underwriting and transaction terms with Credit Underwriting, Due Diligence, Investment Management, and Accounting.
• Manage similar processes for dispositions and refinances.
• Manage internal pipeline reports and transaction checklists.
