Senior Strategic Financial Analyst – Hybrid role (3 days/week in office) in Portland, Medford, Fargo, Burlington, Vancouver, Spokane, Renton, Boise, Lewiston or Salt Lake City. Candidates must reside within commutable distance of that location.
As a trusted finance business partner on the Strategic Finance team, you will provide financial guidance and support; build budgets, forecasts, conduct variance analysis and reporting; prepare financial analysis and support such as cost‑benefit, ROI and capital resource analysis for new business opportunities, proposals, contracts or product development; support cost savings and process improvement efforts; and provide financial governance and oversight—all to create a person‑focused health‑care experience.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver highly effective presentations to all levels of the organization and highlight key points to stakeholders.
- Develop complex financial models and analysis using advanced analytical techniques and financial systems, providing solid alternatives to complex and unusual issues.
- Plan, organize, schedule, coordinate and monitor large work streams involving one functional area or multiple tasks involving multiple areas.
- Guide the work of analysts and others, providing training or consulting expertise to other departments, analysts and external stakeholders.
- Effectively advise and influence the business on a wide variety of business issues; lead positive change internally; function independently with limited supervision; mentor analysts and others.
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, economics or statistics.
- 7–9 years of experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in strategic financial analysis.
- Preferred certifications: CPA, CMA, MBA or ASA.
- Health‑insurance experience preferred.
- Proven knowledge of business principles, theories and concepts; deep understanding of multiple business areas.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to influence decision‑making and provide strategic guidance to senior leaders.
- Experience with AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and decision‑making in professional settings.
- Strong understanding of applicable statutes, policies and procedures with ability to provide input and influence on them.
- Broad perspective applied to decision‑making; articulate complex issues with skill, listening, influence.
- Highly sought after by business to provide wide depth and breadth of consultation, education, and influence.
Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Idaho: expected hiring range $101,200 – $136,900, full salary range $95,000 – $155,000, bonus target 15%. North Dakota: expected hiring range $90,906.79 – $, full salary range $80,716.23 – $.
