The USDA Forest Service seeks a Wildland Firefighter (Helitack) to join a helitack crew and perform advanced suppression duties on federal fire lines. Responsibilities include loading helicopter personnel and cargo, inspecting gear, and operating specialized equipment under demanding conditions.
This temporary, full-time position pays $25.37 per hour as part of the GW pay plan, with district locations including Kankakee, IL;
Marquette, MI; and other duty locations.
