The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is hiring a Solid Waste Compliance Coordinator
- Analyst 4 for the State Office in Boise.
Salary Range: $37.00 - $40.00
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage the Solid Waste Program compliance assurance program:
- Oversee and coordinate solid waste facility inspections, inspection staff, development of standard practices for inspections, compliance and enforcement procedures, and oversight of solid waste facility operations plan reviews.
Core Compliance Tasks:
- Ensure consistency in enforcement actions with the DEQ Enforcement Procedures Manual.
- Develop and maintain compliance and enforcement guidance, policies, and procedures for the statewide Solid Waste Program. Coordinate development with the Solid Waste Program Manager and Assessment & Compliance Bureau Chief and obtain input from Regional Office Remediation/Engineering Managers.
- Develop and implement annual inspector training.
- Coordinate with regional office inspectors on completing annual facility inspections, including participating in or leading facility inspections when necessary.
- Review and approve inspection reports, and coordinate with regional office inspectors on compliance and enforcement activities resulting from inspections.
- Coordinate with regional office inspectors and Solid Waste Program staff on fee collection.
