Med Tech Care Aide

Overview

The Bridge at Valley View is the assisting living part of Garden Plaza of Valley View, a full-service senior living community in Boise, Idaho. We take a true team approach; we share duties, caregiving and med tech, so we train and mentor those who are newer to the industry and welcome those who have a wealth of experience to share. We practice a team approach to scheduling and all of us work at least one weekend day to share work/life balance across the team.

We have some flexibility and options for working 12 and 8 hour shifts: 6a-6p, 6a-2p, 2p-10p, 6p-6a, 10p-6a. We train for overnight shift during day/evening hours so you get to know the residents you’ll be working with while they’re awake. Our goal in training is to give you the tools and information you need to meet your goal to be the best caregiver possible.

We love working with staff who are interested in advancing in the medical industry and have a passion for the elderly population in particular.

• Providing accurate, timely medication services to our residents is critical to their well-being. Gives the right medicine at the right time to the right resident in the right dosage
• Observes residents and verifies medications were ingested or applied
• Sets-up medication and provides medication under direction of nurse
• Signs medication documentation accurately and timely
• Orders and re-orders medications
• Assists with medical charting
• Reminds residents to take medication
