Position Summary & Highlights- The Ambulatory Care Aide will work in our Boise Neurology outpatient clinic team environment to promote a positive experience in patient care with compassion and kindness.
- You will receive training and orientation that will allow you to support efficient clinic flow and communicate accurately and positively with team members.
- Our neurologists use state-of-the-art technology to diagnose and treat complex conditions, neurodegenerative disorders, seizures, and general neurological disease.
- The Neurology clinic treats conditions such as:
Epilepsy and seizures, Headache/Migraine, Memory conditions, including dementia and Alzheimer's Disease, ALS, Movement disorders, including Parkinson's disease and essential tremors, Multiple sclerosis, Neuromuscular dysfunction, Stroke Transient Attack (TIA), Tics, Neuropathy, and Myasthenia Gravis.
- The Ambulatory Care Aide will work closely with Medical Assistants, RNs, and LPNs and under the supervision of the physician and/or Advanced Practice Provider and clinical oversight is provided by the RN Supervisor, Lead Nurse and/or SAMG Nursing Administration.
- You will escort patients back to exam rooms, perform vital signs checks (temperature, blood pressure, height/weight) and maintain a clean, safe, well-stocked clinical area, including patient examination rooms and equipment.
- You will perform clerical functions including appointment scheduling, prior authorizations for insurance, process insurance forms, new patient referrals received from other clinics, and tracking for laboratory/diagnostic tests and new patient referrals.
- You will complete tests, screenings, and identified procedures on patients after competency validation for the ACA position.
An ideal candidate will have a strong desire to work in and learn about a patient care role, is flexible/adaptable, has a positive attitude, has strong communication skills, and is willing to assist in all areas of the clinic.
Work ScheduleMondays - Fridays, 7:30am - 4:30pm, 40 hours per week.
Location- Boise Neurology Clinic: 1072 N Liberty St. Ste. 303, Boise, Idaho 83704
- On the Boise Regional Medical Center campus (I-184 and Curtis Road)

Minimum Qualifications- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
