Role Description

This contract Occupational Therapist role is an on-site position based in Weiser,  7 hours per week Monday
- Thursday. Therapist will establish scheudle for assessments with schools as needed. The Occupational Therapist will assess students’ functional abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, deliver evidence-based interventions to improve function in conjunction with COTA and contribute to IEPs. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating care with Schools, families, COTA and other healthcare and educational professionals, documenting patient progress, educating patients and families on therapeutic activities, and adjusting treatment plans as needed to support optimal outcomes.

The therapist will work with school aged populations ensuring services align with client expectations and organizational quality standards.

Qualifications
  • Clinical expertise in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, with the ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Foundational knowledge of Medicine and interdisciplinary care to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
  • Strong Communication skills for working with patients, families, and colleagues, including clear documentation and patient education.
  • Experience or interest in Pediatrics, with competence in delivering age-appropriate therapeutic interventions when working with children.
  • Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (or eligibility for licensure in Idaho).
  • Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Ability to work independently in on-site clinical environments, manage time effectively, and adapt to varying caseloads.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice, ethical standards, and continual professional development.
