Job Details
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Dietitian to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nutrition care and education to patients, their families, and our healthcare team. This role requires a deep understanding of nutritional needs, the ability to develop individualized care plans, and a commitment to improving patient health outcomes. The Dietitian will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best care for our patients.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients, considering their health status, lifestyle, and dietary habits.
2. Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans to address specific health concerns and promote overall wellness.
3. Provide patient counseling and education on healthy eating habits, therapeutic diets, and the impact of nutrition on their health condition.
4. Develop discharge nutrition education programs to ensure patients can maintain healthy dietary habits post-discharge.
5. Perform calorie counts, menu planning, and review to ensure all meals meet patients' nutritional needs.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in electronic medical records.
7. Monitor patients' nutritional status regularly and adjust care plans as necessary.
8. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
9. Communicate effectively with physicians regarding patients' nutritional needs and care plans.
10. Develop care plans for patients with special dietary needs, such as food allergies or intolerances, diabetes, or heart disease.
11. Stay current on the latest research in clinical dietetics and incorporate new findings into patient care.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in dietetics, nutrition, or a related field.
2. Registered Dietitian (RD) credential.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical dietetics, preferably in a healthcare setting.
4. Proficiency in nutrition assessment, therapeutic diets, patient counseling, and education.
