START Coordinator on our Developmental Disabilities Crisis Prevention and Court Services (CPCS) team. This position has the flexibility of being stationed out of our Downtown Boise
, Nampa
, or Twin Falls office, with coverage of regions 3 (Caldwell/Nampa), 4 (Boise) and 5(Twin Falls). This position requires travel between regions 3, 4, and 5 with possible overnight stays.

The Crisis Prevention and Court Services (CPCS) Team is an inter-disciplinary team certified in the nationally recognized START (Systemic, Therapeutic, Assessment, Resources, and Treatment) Model which uses best practice standards established by the National Center for START Services® (NCSS). NCSS is an initiative that works to strengthen efficiencies and service outcomes for people with IDD and mental health needs in the community.

It is a person-centered, solutions-focused approach that employs positive psychology and other evidence-based practices.

As a START Coordinator, you will deliver and coordinate START clinical services for an assigned caseload, applying the nationally recognized START (Systemic, Therapeutic, Assessment, Resources, and Treatment) Model. In this role, you will collaborate with people enrolled, families, providers, and systems of care to strengthen supports, promote stability and well-being, prevent crises, and reduce reliance on emergency and inpatient services.

This position may be eligible for limited telework after successful completion of probation and necessary training. Approval to telecommute is not guaranteed and subject to termination at any time.

• Deliver and coordinate START clinical services for an assigned caseload, including biopsychosocial assessments, outreach, training, and system-level interventions.
• Facilitate collaboration among individuals, families, residential and day providers, healthcare professionals, and other system partners to strengthen coordinated care.
• Develop and implement individualized, proactive crisis prevention and intervention strategies based on START principles.
• Participate in rotational on-call coverage, including crisis response, comprehensive assessment, and disposition planning.
• Complete and maintain START assessments, plans, crisis prevention and intervention plans, and other required documentation in accordance with model fidelity and regulatory standards.
• Enter accurate and timely client and program data into the START Information Reporting System (SIRS).
• Participate in ongoing training, clinical supervision, and fidelity-driven practice improvement to support evidence-informed service delivery.
• Maintain current knowledge of regional and statewide mental health and developmental disability services, resources, and applicable regulations.
