The Lake Hazel Clinic is now hiring for a team-oriented and efficient Medical Assistant for a new Internal Medicine provider!

* + This position will support a new Internal Medicine provider to the clinic and will also work with other MAs and providers in the clinic.

* + This clinic offers family medicine to patients seeking help managing their wellness and chronic medical conditions.

+ The clinic is surrounded by an underserved residential area that continues to experience growth and development of new housing.

+ The Lake Hazel clinic has procedure rooms, lab and digital X-Ray services on site, in addition to a fully staffed Urgent Care facility open every day 8am - 8pm.

** What You Will Do**  **:*
* + In supporting the provider you will room patients, collect vital signs, medication review, perform phlebotomy, and administer immunizations/vaccines.

+ You will also complete chart prep, complete tasks and orders in the task inbox, including prior authorizations.

+ You may help cover for lunches and sick calls.

+ You will enjoy learning more about the provider and related preferences and takes feedback in stride.

+ An ideal candidate will havea friendly and positive attitude, is a team player, is patient-centered, and reliable.

+ You will also have excellent organizational and prioritizing skills, strong communication skills, and likes to have fun and enjoys potlucks!

** Work Schedule**  **:*
* + 40 hours/week, 4 - 10 hour shifts (Monday - Friday), day off still TBD.

+ Around the hours of 7:30am - 6:00pm. Exact schedule is still being determined.

+ This will mostly be a set schedule, but flexibility will be needed at times based on patient scheduling and clinic staffing needs.

** Minimum Requirements**  **:*
* + High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.

+ MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:

+ American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)

+ American Medical Technologists (RMA)

+ National Health career Association (CCMA)

+ National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)

+ National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA)

+ American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)

+ National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA)

+ New Graduates:
1) MA certificate of completion required from an accredited program or school.
2) Completion of either a 100-hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of the externship hours even with MA certification.

+ Medical Assistant with

Experience:

1 Year of MA experience OR Current MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed above.

+ Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
