The Riverside Hotel is a locally owned, full-service, resort-style hotel set on 14 scenic acres along the Boise River. The property offers over 21,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, supporting events from small gatherings to large dinners with attentive support for technical, logistical, and special dietary needs. Guests enjoy multiple dining and entertainment venues, including Riverside Grill for all-day dining and an “All Idaho Grand Breakfast Buffet.”

The Sandbar Patio & Grill, The Sapphire Room, and Bar 365 provide live local music every night, pub-style fare, regional beverages, and a relaxed atmosphere for socializing. The hotel is known for its welcoming environment, strong local ties, and commitment to memorable guest experiences.

Role Description

The Front Office Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at The Riverside Hotel in Boise,  role oversees daily front desk operations, ensuring efficient check-in and check-out processes, accurate reservations management, and timely guest communications. The Front Office Manager leads and schedules front office team members, provides coaching and support, and promotes consistent service standards aligned with the hotel’s guest experience goals.

Responsibilities include handling guest inquiries and escalations, coordinating with housekeeping, events, and food and beverage teams, and maintaining front office procedures and documentation. The role also involves monitoring key performance indicators such as occupancy, guest satisfaction metrics, and front office productivity, while supporting training initiatives and compliance with hotel policies.

Qualifications
  • Strong front office and office administration skills, including managing daily operations, reservations, and guest records.
  • Proven focus on customer satisfaction and customer service, with experience resolving guest issues in a professional and calm manner.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact clearly with guests, team members, and management across departments.
  • Experience supervising or leading front office or hospitality teams in a hotel or similar environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
  • Comfort with hotel management systems, reservation platforms, and basic office software.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in hospitality management or a related field is beneficial.
  • Previous experience in a full-service or resort-style hotel is an advantage.
