Systems Analyst

Overview

Description & Requirements With a high degree of latitude, the Systems Analyst reviews business requirements, analyzes and evaluates existing and/or proposed systems and designs and develops IT system solutions in response. This role participates in and leads teams through work efforts which may include configuration, implementation of and on-going maintenance and support for production application systems with broad impact. Participates in identification and prioritization of work efforts with leaders and/or stakeholders.

• Support for maintenance, optimization, large initiatives requiring appointment scheduling and appointment request work queue configuration for ambulatory clinic, infusion, telehealth appointments.
• Support for maintenance, optimization, and large initiatives requiring referral triage and referral work queue configuration for the entire health system.
• Participation in various technical integrated areas to support shared EMR workflows.
• Coordinate and organize small initiatives within the Epic/MySt.Luke’s teams.
• Adoption of a service mindset to support our product users in a courteous and timely manner.

• Lead teams through work efforts which may include configuration, implementation and on-going maintenance and support for production application systems with broad impact.
• Identify and prioritize work efforts with leaders and/or stakeholders.
• Build, configure, and program applications to meet user requirements for new and optimized workflows in designated software applications and systems.
• Implement new software applications and systems, perform upgrades, and provide proactive remediation of potential issues in line with project plans, technical specifications, and operations requirements of the health system.
• Identify and diagnose issues in the supported application area and related areas; assess severity and prioritize responses; resolve issues where possible.
• Test and validate software applications and systems to ensure proper operation and end-user acceptance.
• Analyze clinical or operational workflows and their relationship to the technical environment.
• Assist in developing project plans; apply project management principles (e.g., schedules, agile principles, budgets, status reports).
• Ensure documentation is provided for support, end-user training and testing/validation; may provide implementation support with end users.
• Follow established protocols to ensure the safety and security of information system assets, processes, and data.
• Provide expertise, coach and lead others; may act as a lead or supervisor and evaluative resource.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or experience in lieu of degree

Experience: 6 years relevant experience
