The Treasure Valley Family Association YMCA is seeking to add an Information Technology Technician to our team. This position provides Tier II support (as defined by IT industry standards) and assists in evaluating and managing information system technologies for the entire organization, including providing support to end-users.

Schedule

This is a full-time 40 hour a week position with benefits. Schedule requirements are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with occasional need to flex hours to be available on weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier II support in all areas of YMCA infrastructure; provide Help Desk support (by phone, email, and site visits) to all end users in a multi-facility organization. While maintaining professional levels of service to all users, becoming acquainted with users to understand and assess their needs as best as possible to include assurance of completion of all levels of task.
  • Provide front-line support to end-users for workstations, all related peripherals, and network connectivity; monitoring and documenting cases to ensure timely resolution. This includes configuration issues, troubleshooting, software installations, and hardware repair.
  • Ensure that computer updates are applied reliably on all workstations.
  • Assist in supporting all other technologies (i.e. Wi‑Fi network, copiers/printers, phone, voicemail and paging systems, meeting room A/V systems, security camera systems, mobile devices, and network cabling installations, etc.).
  • Ability to research and implement fixes for new issues and to proactively escalation issues to Tier III support (Technical Lead or outside tech consulting company) if the issue is out of technician’s skill set or ability to solve.
  • Assist in maintaining backups of all networked data, including email and in‑house databases, with regular testing to ensure restoration functionality.
  • Assist in maintaining antivirus/anti‑spyware, and anti‑spam systems.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in computer‑related subject, A+ Certification, or equivalent experience in desktop support (hands‑on/not call‑center).
  • Knowledge of imaging and administering current versions of client operating systems.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work enthusiastically within constantly changing priorities.
  • Must be able to meet YMCA transportation requirements.
  • Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome.
  • Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations.
  • Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate when dealing with others.
