About our Team

Our IT Field Services team supports a large-scale manufacturing environment with a focus on high performance, operational excellence, and exceptional customer service. We collaborate closely with cross functional IT groups to ensure seamless technology operations across the enterprise. This senior role will serve as a key contributor and backup to the ID1 IT Field Service Manager.

Position Overview

The Senior Field Services Engineer will provide advanced support for client computing, hardware deployment, software troubleshooting, and network connectivity. This role requires deep technical expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to perform quasi management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will drive service quality, process improvements, and serve as a technical escalation point for the team.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver advanced technical support for client computers, hardware, software, and network connectivity in a manufacturing environment.
  • Lead and manage computer and hardware deployments, including setup, configuration, testing, and alignment to enterprise standards.
  • Respond to and resolve IT incidents, maintain documentation, perform preventive maintenance, and provide end user training.
  • Collaborate with cross functional IT teams and ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and standard processes.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in IT service delivery; act as backup to the Field Service Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent hands on enterprise IT experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in IT field services or related roles, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in supporting Windows and macOS, hardware troubleshooting, printing systems, software installation, and basic network configuration.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with experience resolving complex technical issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to detail processes and support users in high‑stress situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AV equipment installation/support, print service management, asset management, and C‑suite support.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced enterprise IT environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation and experience delivering high quality support.
  • Ability to provide leadership, perform quasi management functions, and support managerial duties when needed.
