System Manager

Our client, an industry leader in technology development, is seeking a System Manager 2 to join their team. As a System Manager 2, you will be part of the IT support department supporting engineering design teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to system management, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: System Manager 2

Location: Boise,

Pay Range: $48.49

Shift: Day - Mon to Fri - 8 Hours

• Install, maintain, and upgrade internal Linux hardware and software systems used for designing and developing company products.
• Control user access and propose system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Monitor system usage and performance, ensuring high uptime and availability.
• Train personnel on system usage and support engineering teams with server-related issues.
• Drive automation and configuration management through scripting and tools like Puppet and Python.

• 3-5 years of experience in Linux system administration or related fields.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, shell scripting, and automation tools like Puppet.
• Strong understanding of server provisioning, configuration management, and system monitoring.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams.
• Ability to propose and implement system improvements to enhance performance and reliability.
