** Job Summary
** Micron is seeking a driven Validation Technician to support system-level DRAM validation and lab operations within the SC Lab Operations team. This role focuses on delivering structured test plans, configuring systems, solving issues, and ensuring products meet performance, reliability, and compatibility standards. You will work hands-on with server platforms, validation tools, and automation systems while contributing to operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

** Responsibilities
* ** Execute DRAM validation test suites, including stress, margin, diagnostic, thermal, and reboot testing.
* Configure and prepare server systems for testing (BIOS setup, memory installation, OS deployment, and environment setup).
* Troubleshoot system failures, perform initial issue triage, document findings, and escalate to engineering teams as needed.
* Accurately capture and report test results using Jira and internal tracking tools, ensuring complete data integrity with same-day reporting.
* Maintain lab systems and readiness by performing daily checks and supporting hardware improvements.
* Use Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, presentation software, One Note, Excel) to document procedures, track progress, and communicate updates.
* Apply knowledge of server platforms (Intel, AMD, ARM), BIOS configurations, Linux command-line tools, and validation software to support testing and resolve issues.
* Follow all safety and compliance protocols, including PPE, CoHE, JHA, and Micron EHS standards.
* Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, documenting processes and reporting results clearly.
* Identify process improvement opportunities and implement approved enhancements to improve efficiency.
* Mentor technicians by providing hands-on training and sharing effective methods.
* Maintain a customer-focused approach by meeting testing timelines (±10%) and proactively communicating risks or delays.
** Minimum Qualifications
*** Associate degree (AAS) in Electronics, Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent military training),
** OR
* * 5+ years of hands-on experience in system/hardware testing in a lab or semiconductor environment with documented technical training.
* At least 2 years of experience in structured system testing, troubleshooting, and documenting results in a lab or production setting.
* Experience with system setup and configuration, including BIOS, OS installation (Windows/Linux), and basic networking.
* At least 1 year of experience using ticketing or workflow management tools (e.g., Jira, Service Now) for documentation and tracking.
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Experience with DRAM or memory validation, or server platform validation (Intel Xeon, AMD EPYC, ARM-based systems).
* Familiarity with validation tools, automation frameworks, BMC management, and test suites.
* Basic Linux scripting knowledge (bash/shell).
* Ability to independently troubleshoot complex system issues, demonstrated through prior work or project experience.
