Database administrators design, build, and maintain systems that securely store organizational data. They create database structures, ensure availability and security, monitor performance, and optimize operations. They implement backup and recovery procedures and manage user permissions to safeguard sensitive information.

Education & Experience

A high school diploma with coursework in computer science, mathematics, and programming can be a foundation, followed by formal education. Practical experience in database design, administration, and related IT roles is often required.
