Idaho Power – located in vibrant Boise, Idaho – is looking for a System Administrator or Senior to join our Power Supply team. It’s an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. System Administrators analyze, install, configure, upgrade, test, document, monitor and maintain software and hardware in support of business processing requirements. Supported systems may include operating systems, business applications, server hardware, security tools, monitoring tools, web servers, application servers, integration servers, and other departmental or enterprise applications or systems. They work closely with other teams to develop technical solutions. They also provide technical support for problems not resolved by the Integrated Operations Center or IT Service Desk.
In addition, Senior System Administrators participate in the development and execution of technology strategies to support organizational activities and direction. They provide advanced level support for systems; including troubleshooting, performance, monitoring, cost-benefit, security, and licensing analysis. They stay aware of industry trends, business requirements, and technical design methodologies to aid in the development of creative/innovative IT/OT solutions.

A COMPETITIVE CANDIDATE WILL HAVEKnowledge of:

System Administrator
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or a related field
- 2 or more years of relevant technology administration experience
- 4 or more years of relevant technology administration experience
Certifications:
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record based on driving requirements for the position
- Certification relevant to position
- ITIL Foundation Certificate, Microsoft MCSA, Redhat RHCSA
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, or equivalent field
- An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, cyber security, or a related field
- 5 or more years of professional technology administration experience
- 8 or more years of experience in a corporate multi-platform technology environment
Certifications:
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record based on driving requirements for the position
- CCNA
- Certification relevant to position
- ITIL Foundation Certificate, Microsoft MCSE, Redhat RHCE, Microsoft Azure Administrator, CISSP, CCNP
