Job Summary

The Technical Product Manager (TPM) is responsible for building and maintaining strong R&D and technical relationships with Strategic + Mainstay customers, acting as a trusted technical advisor. The TPM serves as the primary technical point of contact for the XTPR team supporting customer troubleshooting, product selection, and training. They act as the technical liaison with our client and help shape market / product insights and weave those into targeted growth campaigns in alliance with the Commercial Leader for the business.

This role requires a mix of technical expertise, customer relationship skills, and a problem-solving mindset.

Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and nurture long-term R&D relationships with customers to understand their technical and business needs
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor, providing proactive guidance to help customers maximize the value of the company’s solutions
  • Collect and document customer feedback to identify trends and drive continuous improvement of product solutions & recommendations
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for escalated technical issues and troubleshooting
  • Develop a deep understanding of the products and market segments
Technical Training:
  • Deliver regular technical training sessions to customers & internal XTPR team on key products
  • Act as a technical conduit for XTPR team & client
  • Create and maintain technical guides to assist customers & team through troubleshooting & product selection
  • Develop targeted growth campaigns into key applications & market segments that target & drive new customer growth
  • Continuously maintain a deep knowledge of market insights within the customer base & broader macro market
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Material Science, or applicable technical background
  • Proven experience as a Technical Account Manager, Technical Product Manager, or Technical Service Representative.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand complex product technology & applications
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a proactive customer-first approach
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
