We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Data Center Operations Specialist
to join our growing team here at Valor C3 Data Centers. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining facility uptime and delivering exceptional support across client environments.
The ideal candidate combines strong customer service skills with a solid foundation in IT and networking systems. As a key technical resource, you will triage and resolve issues efficiently using critical thinking and clear communication to coordinate seamlessly with internal teams, clients, and vendor partners via our ticketing system.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Support:Provide best-in-class, on-site technical and operational support to internal teams and external partners.
- Facility Security & Patrols:Conduct hourly physical building patrols to identify anomalies; monitor CCTV systems for facility entry, exit, and data center floor access points.
- Infrastructure Monitoring:Continuously monitor critical data center infrastructure using standard and custom-built tools.
- Troubleshooting & Incident Management:Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues; maintain complete ticket documentation throughout the incident lifecycle.
- Escalation & Communication:Draft clear, detailed technical incident reports and operational updates; elevate critical issues appropriately.
- System Baselines:Help establish and maintain performance baselines to ensure systems operate within standard thresholds.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner with peers and engineering teams on capacity planning, project rollouts, and root‑cause analysis (RCA).
- Emergency Preparedness:Build thorough operational knowledge to respond effectively during critical or emergency situations.
- Customer Service Focus:Impeccable interpersonal skills across in-person, phone, and electronic communication.
- Technical Aptitude:Strong desire and ability to learn new technologies and perform “remote hands” support for clients.
- Adaptability & Problem Solving:Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Teamwork & Independence:Equally comfortable working self‑directed on shift or collaborating closely with team members (including helping with shift coverage when needed).
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Competitive Pay:$16.50 – $18.00+/hr(DOE)
- Part-Time
Schedule:
Approx. 28 hours per week,
Thursday:3:00 PM – 7:00 PM &
Friday – Sunday:3:00 PM – 11:00 PM - Paid Time Off:Sick leave accrued per pay period.
- Holiday Pay & Meals:Holiday premium pay for all observed holidays worked, plus complimentary meals provided for DC Ops staff on duty during major holidays.
