Description Introduction to Company

Nova Law is a support organization, professionally running the back-office operations of a tech-enabled, highly selective, law firm supporting a growing immigration practice that has an immediate opening for a fully remote Part Time Business Immigration Paralegal. The position requires expertise with the following visas and processes: E, H, L, O, P, PERMS, EB-5, EB-1 and National Interest Waivers. The ideal candidate is collaborative, results-oriented, an outstanding communicator, organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist attorney in filing immigration petitions, including immigration forms and letters.
  • Follow-up with clients and assist clients in filling out forms, collecting and organizing documents.
  • Monitor timelines and deadlines.
  • Prepare petitions under attorney supervision.
  • Create detailed spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Maintain and organize filings and documents in proper order.
  • Update filings with case status and information.
  • Strong organizational skills, especially regarding prioritizing work activities.
  • Communicate with clients, and complete other general administrative tasks assigned from time to time.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant business immigration experience.
  • Knowledge and ability to process immigration cases from start to finish.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of the firm (attorneys, secretaries, administration, and other members of staff).
  • Strong customer service skills and an understanding of the importance of developing effective working relationships with others.
  • Excellent organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; must be responsive, reliable and a self-starter with minimal supervision.
  • Able to create, edit, proofread and finalize all written communication, including spreadsheets, financials, emails, memos, documents, etc.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy, and able to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to work under pressure, facilitate solutions, multi-task, and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Technical savvy, proficiency with MS Office in a Windows environment.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Immigration process software, Law Logix preferred.
  • Pay is commensurate with experience
