Role Summary
As a Silicon Planner at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for orchestrating the supply chain to common objectives for the Silicon technologies (DRAM, NAND, Sourced Silicon) assigned to you. Much of your time will be spent proactively handling silicon constrained supply fill rate through analytics of ERP and planning systems, while collaborating with internal and external partners globally. You will own the entire supply process to reach the required objectives for your product line.
Position OverviewYou must have proficient skills related to data analysis and developing conclusions to a variety of problems to be successful in planning responsibilities. You must also have strong interpersonal and leadership skills to resolve problems and meet defined objectives. In this role, you will use tools such as Tableau and Supply Plan Optimization (SPO), and apply Science of Supply Chain techniques to balance inventory, customer service, and business priorities within the semiconductor industry.
Responsibilities- Publish Silicon constrained supply response for customer demand, factory plan, material plan, die mix plan, and inventory replenishment strategy
- Leverage distributed team to have continuous attention to urgent action items
- Position Silicon Supply/Inventory to predictably meet revenue plans by communicating risks and opportunities and driving mitigation actions (Fab Pull-in, Fab Die mix, Procure wafers, etc.)
- Project silicon supply accurately for reliable commitments to customer orders, maintain silicon metrics, and provide inputs to replenishment strategies
- Run inventory to targets at specific locations and handle wafer/die bank inventory health
- Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Operations Research, or Business Administration, with equivalent experience considered
- Knowledge of supply chain fundamentals including safety stock models, forecasting models, logistics network optimization, and linear programming
- Experience with database query (SQL), interpreting data and visualization tools, including Macros in Excel, Tableau, and Python programming
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience in semiconductor or similar fast‑paced supply chains
- Understanding of statistical concepts and methods such as theory of constraints and inventory models
- Experience crafting experiments to address problems
- Experience with supply chain systems such as SAP or Blue Yonder
