Inside Sales

Job Summary

Provide counter/store service to customers via in‑person, phone, and fax. Sell industrial, medical and specialty gases, welding equipment, safety and other supplies to customers, ensuring all customer needs are met in a timely manner.

• Open and close the store.
• Assist with daily paperwork (cash reports), filing, preparing packets, and answering invoice questions.
• Notify clients when orders are ready for pick‑up; return orders to stock as required; inform customers when back‑orders are in.
• Assist with weekly freight and put away empty cylinders from the dock.
• Support Outside Sales personnel.
• Provide night and weekend on‑call service as necessary.
• Make Hot Shot deliveries as required.

• 2 years of customer service experience.
• 1 year of industry experience a plus.
• Understanding of welding terminology and equipment a plus.
• Alert to surroundings with the ability to plan ahead and anticipate customer needs.
• Self‑directed, able to establish priorities and accomplish objectives with minimal supervision.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet use.
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 to 60 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.

Expected hiring salary is $20.00/hr, DOE. The salary range for this position is $20.00/hr to $30.00/hr.
