Lead moderately complex projects that generally have a medium to high corporate priority. Provide subject‑matter expertise in project management, local project office setup, scope definition, risk identification, methodology, prioritization, and facilitation. Maintain control of schedule, cost, safety, quality, and customer expectations or satisfaction at all times. Present project updates and results to management and customers, manage vendor relationships during installation, and ensure projects close on time and within scope.
HowYou Will Do It
- Methodology – understand PMI methodology and key knowledge areas (Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Human Resources, Communications, Risk and Procurement Management).
- Communication/Coordination – responsible for status reporting to project staff, customers, and Johnson Controls management; lead project resources and provide technical advice and problem resolution.
- Fiscal – track project expenditures and installation progress, review status reports, modify schedules, and maintain full financial accountability using AIA standards.
- Quality – conduct inspections to ensure workmanship meets Johnson Controls installation quality standards and expectations.
- Customer Service – provide concise and professional support to all customers and personnel, ensuring timely follow‑up on concerns and issues.
- Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree or five years of equivalent work experience.
- Travel as needed; 5 years of project management in the security industry (preferred) or new construction.
- Daily and some overnight travel, 25%+ (pending on open projects).
- Preferred certifications or ability to acquire certification within six months: CSPM (Certified Security Project Manager), PMI PMP (Project Management Professional).
- Salary range: $85,200 – $117,000 depending on education, experience, skills, and market data. Competitive bonus plan and benefits package.
