Conservation Voters for Idaho | Salary Range: $110,000-$120,000 | Hybrid - Boise, Idaho

The Opportunity

Conservation Voters for Idaho is looking for an accomplished, collaborative, and mission-driven leader to serve as its next Executive Director.

CVI protects Idaho's environment and quality of life by informing, engaging, and empowering people that care about our natural heritage and healthy communities. Through CVI, CVIEF, and affiliated political action committees, the organization works to build political power for conservation and advance priorities that protect what makes Idaho special.

This is an opportunity to lead an established and respected organization into its next chapter. CVI is looking for an Executive Director who knows that strong results start with strong people leadership and who can pair that with successful fundraising, strategic thinking, coalition-building, and political judgment.

The Executive Director will lead CVI, CVIEF, and affiliated political action committees, working in partnership with the appropriate Boards of Directors, senior leaders, staff, donors, funders, partners, and supporters to move the organizations' missions forward.

The Leader We Are Looking For

CVI's next Executive Director will be a proven organizational leader who builds trust, develops people, and creates the conditions for employees to do their best work.

They will be collaborative, emotionally intelligent, adaptable, and approachable, while also being comfortable setting clear expectations, addressing difficult issues, making decisions, and holding people accountable.

They will also be a strong relationship-builder who is comfortable moving between conversations with staff, donors, funders, Board members, conservation partners, community leaders, elected officials, candidates, and other stakeholders.

CVI operates in a complex political environment. The next Executive Director does not need to have spent their entire career in Idaho or in the conservation movement, but they do need the political judgment, relationship skills, and strategic thinking to build alliances and move conservation priorities forward.
