The Material Handler is responsible for storing, moving, and handling products and materials. Work in a structured environment to minimize safety risks and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Hours Of OperationMonday – Thursday: 1st Shift 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Duties And Responsibilities- Identify, transport, pack, remove and dispose of products and materials.
- Operate forklifts, handcarts, or pallet jacks to pick, replenish, shuttle, and load/unload orders.
- Maintain inventory levels as directed.
- Feed lines with product as scheduled or directed by supervision or line leads.
- Ship and receive materials throughout the shift.
- Operate all equipment safely.
- Count, weigh, and record units or materials moved or handled.
- Ensure products moved are identified and labeled correctly.
- Perform housekeeping to maintain 5S and keep work areas clean, such as sweeping floors, putting trash into containers, and picking stray product up from floor.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of GMPs or willingness to learn.
- Obtain forklift certification within 90 days.
- Operate stand‑up and extended forklifts.
- Basic math skills.
- Understand and follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Read and write in English (preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Previous material handling experience is a plus; varies by location.
- Manufacturing environment.
- Team environment; work together and communicate respectfully and professionally.
- Work necessary overtime based on staffing needs and customer demand, and across shifts.
- Reach with hands/arms.
- Lift up to 90 lbs assisted and 40 lbs unassisted.
- Stand up to 80% of the scheduled time.
- Walk, climb, and/or balance throughout shift.
