Fabricator, Manufacturing ​/ Production

Primary purpose

Fabricate countertops (artificial & natural stone) according to Franklin Building Supply standards.

• Counter top Fabrication:
  Fabrication of natural and artificial stone countertops and back splashes to the highest standards under the supervision of a shop foreman, department manager.
• Sink fabrication:
  Skillfully fabricate sink cutouts.
• Collaboration:
  
  Assist the shop foreman and team members in the fabrication area, actively communicating and addressing discrepancies and special conditions.
• Label Interpretation:
  Understand and interpret labels relating to the material being fabricated.
• Documentation Review:
  Review programming and/or template paperwork in detail, seeking clarification from the foreman or programmer when needed.
• Proactive Communication:
  Proactively communicate concerns that may impact job completion to the shop foreman or department management.
• Tool Knowledge:
  Become knowledgeable of job-specific tools used in fabrication, operating them correctly and safely.
• Tool and Environment Maintenance:
  Maintain tools and work environment safely and cleanly, minimizing disturbance to other areas.
• Safety and Quality:
  Prioritize safety and quality throughout the fabrication process.

• Safety:
  Ability to pass and maintain proper respiratory device fitment to protect against hazardous chemicals and toxins. When using a respirator, you must take the necessary steps to ensure proper fitment and use to ensure your protection.

• Counter top Fabrication
  
  Experience:
  
  Previous experience in counter top fabrication is strongly preferred.
• Software Proficiency:
  Experience using Microsoft Office products for administrative tasks.
• Construction Background:
  Background in residential and commercial construction & remodels is strongly preferred.
