Position: Internship Summer 2027 - Supply Chain

Overview

This Supply Chain Intern position will be responsible for global forecasts for new and existing U.S. and international products. The role includes maintaining the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) module, reviewing JDE prompts for production work orders, and entering work orders for production. The internship runs during the summer:
May through August.

Responsibilities
  • Manage scrap, prepare product run‑outs, and support supply chain management for new product launches.
  • Set up item numbers, maintain bills of material, submit manufacturing engineering change orders, roll product revisions, and balance inventory among global distribution centers.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the Supply Chain system and its capabilities.
  • Create and maintain sales forecasts by analyzing historical data to establish reasonable logic for projected sales volume.
  • Analyze MRP to determine inventory balance and ordering quantities for existing products.
  • Upload and update sales forecast files in MRP.
  • Review and analyze system prompts for production work orders.
  • Maintain inventory balance between production and distribution facilities.
  • Review production schedules to ensure timely manufacturing and prevent stock‑outs and excess inventory.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and expediting when needed.
  • Coordinate with Shipping on low inventory and pending order resolution.
  • Assist the Forecasting & Planning Manager with other forecasting tasks as assigned.
  • Display excellent Excel and Word processing skills.
Qualifications
  • Junior or senior college student pursuing a related degree.
  • Available to work in Idaho Falls, Idaho for approximately 90 days during the program dates.
  • Current cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher.
  • Orientation toward continuous improvement and problem solving.
  • Sharp organizational skills and the ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to produce consistent quality under deadline pressure while paying careful attention to detail.
  • Strong creative skills.
  • Strong customer‑relation skills.
