Job Type: Full Time, Onsite
Schedule:
Day, 7:00am to 3:30, Monday through Friday
Wage: $18.50 to $24.25, DOE
Safely and accurately fill orders with stock material or processed parts; load and unload trucks and rail cars with forklift and overhead cranes; assist machine operators and operate various machines and equipment necessary to service customer needs and add value to sales; assist sales with warehouse and inventory information.
Key Responsibilities- Pulling material, filling orders, preparing material for delivery, with emphasis on safety while enhancing customer satisfaction through accuracy and product quality; ensuring orders are filled to enable on-time deliveries.
- Efficiently move material from trucks and railcars, restock racks using Farwest procedures and equipment to protect personal safety and material quality; track material and heat numbers for certification; rotate and keep material accessible.
- Assist machine operators, prepare parts for packaging and delivery per customer requirements and safe transport; operate all machines in the warehouse; drive truck around bays.
- Perform required maintenance and safety duties, including attending safety and production meetings and constantly monitoring tools and equipment to ensure safe operation and minimal downtime.
- Assist customers by filling and loading their material professionally; support sales staff with warehouse and inventory questions and issues.
- Basic understanding of warehouse functions and equipment operation.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing in English.
- Ability to work in a team environment and treat employees and customers with respect, courtesy and tact.
- Perform routine office support, understand written and oral instruction, and make mathematical calculations.
