Role SummaryThe RDA/Metrology Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and high‑quality operation of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This position is responsible for performing safety audits, troubleshooting process and equipment issues, supporting continuous improvement activities, and maintaining accurate documentation and training materials.
Responsibilities- Perform safety audits, complete required safety training, and ensure all work adheres to environmental, safety, and sustainability guidelines.
- Monitor production workflow, including queue times and bottlenecks, and make data‑driven decisions using SPC, FDC, and 8D methodologies to resolve yield, quality, and equipment issues.
- Troubleshoot process and metrology equipment problems, support throughput and efficiency goals, and execute project work to optimize wafer processing.
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation—including procedures, training materials, and shift pass‑downs—while identifying training gaps and procedural improvements.
- Collaborate effectively across teams, communicating clearly in both written and verbal forms to ensure smooth information exchange and operational alignment.
- Manage time and tasks efficiently, work independently with minimal supervision, and use Microsoft Office tools to support reporting, documentation, and workflow activities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience maintaining manufacturing equipment, automation systems, or technical military experience.
- 2 years of experience using mechanical, electronic, and software skills to troubleshoot equipment.
- 1 year of experience using SPC software (e.g., Minitab, JMP, Linework Space).
- Ability to work 12‑hour shifts (3 days on/4 days off and 4 days on/3 days off), progress between day and night shifts every 4 months, and adapt to different shifts and overtime as needed.
- AAS degree in a STEM field.
- 4+ years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
- 2+ years of experience using SPC software (e.g., Minitab, JMP, Linework Space).
