Position SummaryShift: Monday‑Thursday 4×10 hours.
BME Fire Trucks is seeking a skilled Fire Apparatus Paint Technician to join the second‑shift paint team. The role involves mixing and applying body filler, sanding, primer, caulking, grinding, acid washing, prep for paint, delivering automotive‑quality paint, and performing cut‑and‑buff work as needed.
Requirements- Understanding of bodywork principles
- Experience with body filler and block sanding
- Experience with air tools, hand and power tools
- Experience in automotive customization or collision repair work
- Great attitude and high expectations for quality
- Knowledge of body shop materials
- Physically fit; able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, kneel and climb ladders
- Associate’s degree in Auto Body repair or related area
- Four years or more experience with automotive painting
- Experience with color sanding and buffing
- Tools and a roll‑around toolbox
This is a full‑time permanent position located on site in Boise, Idaho. Compensation is competitive and includes health, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits.
