Job Overview

The Packer is responsible for maintaining production lines, ensuring all products are packaged per specifications and guidelines. Duties include manual packaging, sealing, organizing products, palletizing, operating pallet jacks, visual inspections, and data entry into the ERP system.

• Execute tasks according to Safety and Food Safety Standards, and participate in safety training.
• Retrieve and program product specifications from the ERP system.
• Operate auto‑baggers, Ilapak machines, vision systems, counter stackers, and weight equipment.
• Enter production data into TGI (Machine Log) and complete product pathways.
• Maintain work area clean and organized per housekeeping policies.
• Meet productivity goals by following the production schedule.
• Assist with line rotation, cleaning, and coverage during downtime.
• Communicate product deficiencies to leaders and operators.
• Retrieve and return packaging materials to the warehouse.
• Assist QA programs such as pH verification, metal detection, and line quality checks.
• Follow SQF requirements and maintain workstations per SQF guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Grade school level;
  High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience operating food manufacturing machinery.
• 1–2 years of experience following work specifications, SOPs, and recipes.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Organizational skills and strong teamwork.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to identify errors and maintain safety.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50lb.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and work in adverse positions.
• Reliability, punctuality, and schedule flexibility (weekends, holidays, off‑shifts).
• Adherence to the company’s attendance, drug, and alcohol policies.
• Compliance with all food safety and third‑party certification requirements (SQF, Gluten‑Free, Organic, etc.).

Continual walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and operating industrial equipment. Exposure to cool, hot, and loud environments.
