Shift: 3rd Shift (Sunday-Thursday, 9:30pm-6:00am)
Compensation: $23.20 per hour plus $2.00 per hour shift differential.
SummaryThe primary responsibility of the Inside Shipper is to accurately pick, count, and pack parts for shipment to our customers.
Responsibilities- Accurately pick, count, and pack parts for shipment.
- Participate in departmental/cell functions under the direction of a shift supervisor or department lead.
- Operate material‑handling and packaging equipment: forklifts, order pickers, banding and crimping tools, capping machines, lift tables, small hand tools, vacu‑lifts, weigh scales, staple/nail guns, barcode scanners, storage carousels, and wrapping machines.
- Maintain appropriate housekeeping and safety standards in the assigned work area.
- Wear all required PPE and comply with all safety policies and standards.
- Demonstrate proficiency in equipment operation and packing processes within approximately 2 years of training.
- Progress to Inside Shipper 2 role after successful completion of at least 7 essential functions.
- Basic arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, divide, and perform calculations with whole numbers and fractions.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding plain English documents and verbal instructions.
- Knowledge of e‑mail usage.
- Manual dexterity to work with small hand tools, tape measures, crimping tools, scales, banders, and air‑driven staple/nail guns.
- Physical capability to stand, bend, push, pull, climb, lift, and walk, and safely lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Availability for overtime up to 10 hours a week when required.
- Experience operating forklifts, straddle trucks, or similar material‑handling equipment.
- Understanding of packing and shipping documentation for irrigation products.
- Clean work history and attendance record; satisfactory safety record.
- Experience with radio‑frequency scanners is a plus.
- Experience in shipping or logistics is highly desirable.
